It has been 17 days already since I participated in this mini SEO contest that was spearheaded by marghil and I can say that the traffic it brought to my site is getting bigger and bigger everyday. How’s that for someone who’s looking for traffic? The Pinay Scandal keyword has already replaced all my previous post on my blog stat counter, making it now as the second most viewed post here at yuwoncedric.com. The “Watch Pacquiao Vs. Barrera II Live! for free? still holds the top spot. Here’s what It looks like everyday.
As you can see, 8 out of 10 post belongs to Pinay Scandal meaning that traffic from these keywords are really huge and I expect more in the future. Now how about the money part? To tell you the truth, it wasn’t able to capitalize on it. I tried using Google Adsense for a while but I always get the public service ads from google, so I decided to switch from bidvertiser. The thing about bidvertiser is, the ads showing is not really relevant to the displayed post. Yeah I know it depends on the ads that you have approved on their site and that alone is enough to make the CTR of bidvertiser ads very poor. I’ll experiment on widgetbucks tomorrow and see what will be the result. I’ll have it posted here. However this one seems to be odd, after not having an update because of a faulty DSL modem in my place, my google adsense earning from this day alone hits the $10 mark. It comes from my 250 x 250 ads placed in every post but I still don’t know if this something to do on the way how I design my ads. I have to find that out later.
Cleaning the Web
We are almost there. As of this writing, Marghil’s Pinay Scandal at Macuha.com is in 6th place at google.com when you searched pinay scandal. The two websites on top seems to be a tough nut to crack, but I believe that if each and every blogger in the pinoy blogosphere continues to post or blog about pinay scandal then we will eventually win the web and successfully clean the bad reputation of the keyword pinay in Google. My post is currently in 5th page for that keyword and ranks number 9 in the first page when a user searched for pinay scandal download.
