What you said is so true.. antivirus/antispam and other security software really take up a big part of CPU power plus memory…

What inner child is using right now is Trend Micro’s (free) Office scan.. (which reminds me the trial version is set to expire on the 22nd!)

There’s this hardware based that does the same thing as what you said here.. kalimutan ko lang.. but it costs a lot…

Thanks for this post.. :D

Its true that AV and other security are memory hogs but not all some are built from the groundup that takes less memory.

Deepfreeze and other non-restrictive software is better combine with anti-virus. How would you know if you encounter a virus even though Deepfreeze is powerful there are some viruses that infects using direct I/O meaning it bypasses deepfreeze but detected by most of anti-virus so to sum it all it is better to have both.

deepfreeze is not an anti virus talagang tinatanggap nya ang virus kahit pasukan mo ng 1000 virus yan ok lang restart lang katapat ala na balk sa dati angpc mo di mo kailangan combine sa antivirus o kya kung gusto mo ANTI EXECUTABLE kung tinatamad ka mag freeze

i am using deep freeze in my computers here sa bahay. Deep freeze is not a free software. Kailangan mong bilhin to online.
